South Molton is a market town on the A361 between Tiverton and Barnstaple, and it is more industrial than its size suggests — the business park on the edge of town supports a good deal of manufacturing and trade.

Straight off the Link Road, then it narrows
The A361 runs past the town with a proper junction, and the business park is directly accessible from it, which makes commercial work here quick.
The town centre is a classic Devon market town — the square and the streets off it are narrow, and market day fills them.
North onto Exmoor the lanes narrow and climb, and in winter this is genuinely exposed country where conditions can close a route at short notice. We check before committing to a moorland date.
